School programs

Since the 18th century at secondary schools of the German language area were published so called school program papers, which initially contained invitations to final exams. In the 19th century these publications were extended to school newspapers in which also scientific articles were published. They reflect the education policy of the Habsburg monarchy. The papers of Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies explain the Austrio-Hungarian nationality policy, because they are composed in the languages of the minorities living there. The library provides school program papers of all regions of Habsburg monarchy.
